Ajo Buddy keeps a record for savings groups. This page explains, in plain words, what we store, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we store

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or rent your information.

Members who don't have an account

Group members are added by the people running the ledger. A member's name, payments and balance are visible to everyone who runs that ledger. Each member can be sent a private statement link that shows only their own record. Anyone who has that link can open it, so it should be shared only with that member. The person running the ledger can reset a link at any time, which stops the old one working.

Who can see a ledger

Only signed-in people who have been given access to that ledger. Each ledger is kept separate, and the database checks access on every request.

Services we use

How long we keep it

We keep your account and ledgers for as long as you use Ajo Buddy. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and any ledgers that only you run, including their earlier versions.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, download it, or delete it. You can download any ledger yourself from Settings, Backup and data. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
